Hydroseeding sprays a slurry of seed, mulch, fertilizer, and tackifier over prepared soil in a single pass. The mulch bonds to the grade, so seed stays put on South Hills slopes instead of washing downhill in the next storm.
At roughly $0.10 to $0.20 per square foot, hydroseeding runs about a third of the cost of installed sod, and new grass typically germinates in 7 to 14 days. It is the practical fix for bare yards after excavation, new construction, or regrading in Pittsburgh clay.

Retaining Wall Installation & Repair for Pittsburgh Slopes
Pittsburgh's hillside lots put constant pressure on the soil behind them, and roughly 38 inches of rain a year adds to it. We build segmental block, boulder, and timber retaining walls with the compacted base and drainage that clay soil and freeze-thaw winters demand.
A wall that is bowing or leaning does not always mean full replacement: failing walls can often be rebuilt in sections, keeping the rest of the structure and the landscaping around it intact.

2 years agoI could not recommend this company enough. I had two crumbling retaining walls replaced and the difference in quality is incredible. No corners were cut.
